NIKEiD Studio in Hong Kong - NOW OPEN!

NIKEiD Studio Hong Kong, officially opened last week, February 3rd, 2010. Situated within the Silvercord Nike Flagship in Tsim Sha Tsui area.

So what's NIKEiD Studio actually. Alright then, here's just a brief bla bla bla. NIKEiD Studio is the place where you can actually custom design your very own Nike sneakers, whether be it the colorway or material, you get to choose yourself! And the best part is, you get to see the actual material before ordering. You can also custom your shoe to have your very own signature (I mean have your name embedded in your shoe lar....)

As quoted in freshnessmag "The studio space will enable consumers to get a hand-on design experience to create and personalize their favorite Nike kicks, clothes and whatever sporting equipment they wish. Of course, one has creative reign to switch up colors, materials, graphics and personal iD during a 60-minute one-on-one session with a Studio Design Consultant. After the design and confirmation sign-off, one will be able to pick up their spanking-new and piping fresh Nike product within four weeks. Also, to commemorate the grand opening of NIKEiD, exclusive opening fit sets are offered to all customers born in February. Do drop by and visit the new space and get geared up for the most exclusive pair of kicks to celebrate Chinese New Year."

Well then, if you are around the corner, here's the address : 30 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Check the map below if you're still not sure. Still not very sure? Then you'll have to ask the HK "ah ser" or can try the "teck si lo". LOL.... lol...

Nike Air Max 97

The Air Max 97 first release of coz lar... 1997. That's why its called 97. Lol. There were actually rumors that it was initially named as Air Total Max 3. This unique design of the 97 Air Max was inspired by the high speed Japanese Bullet trains. It had been re-release several times since then and it's been one of the most common re-retro Air Max.

In 1997, it was the first time that the full length Air Max cushioning was used on the Air Max shoes. The AM95 was made in such a way that the air unit underneath the forefoot and heel, which is also coincidentally the time that the Air Jordan broke the barriers, the designers decided to make some innovation to the Air Max 97. And their innovative idea turns out to be the long air max unit under the entire foot.

In order to continue with the trends that was set by the Air Max 95 and Air Max 96, the prominent amount of 3M reflective materials was also used to create the Air Max 97. But this time round, the 3M reflective materials covered almost all the shoe surface, which made it a little different from the previous 95 & 96's style. This distinguished and unique feature, of coz, had attracted lots of sneakers fan's attention.

With such merits, the Nike Air Max 97 is regarded as one of the best sneakers among all, for the 97s are not only fashionable in design and style but also absolutely "Form Follows Function".

End of last year... the 2009 re-retroed Air Max 97 managed to hit some Nike Sportwear retail in the Klang Valley. This was the quickstrike release I guess, and just one colorway, the original Metallic Silver - Red. I managed to witness them in The Curve, both Nike outlets in 1 Utama but suprisingly both Nike outlets in Sunway Pyramid do not carry them. And of coz, I managed to get my pair! Mr. Kitty got a pair too, lol.

You can actually find some better nicer pictures of the Nike Air Max 97 inside this blog page or google it. Therefore, I'm not gonna post any more pixs of the 97, however, here's some shots of denzerogent on the Air Max 97.

This is another full frontal shot of Denzerogent.

Danger! - Package Arrived

That's right. Received the package in this manner. See below:

Wanna guess what it is? These are EXPLOSIVE! Yeah, that's right! Explosive! Cool huh? LOL. Explosives for the year of the tiger. LOL. First time I received them in this kind of packaging though. Every year it was basically just 2 for the 12 o'clock midnight new year's eve havoc. This year, skinnyser contributed 1 extra. Duh....

Are these supposed to be illegal? I thought it was, but over the years, I've heard them so many times. Surprisingly, they are not only heard during Chinese new year, they can be heard on most of the major festive celebration in the country. That's really weird. I guessed that's just the way it is now huh, lol.

From wikipedia," Bamboo stems filled with gunpowder that were burnt to create small explosions were once used in ancient China to drive away evil spirits. In modern times, this method has eventually evolved into the use of firecrackers during the festive season. Firecrackers are usually strung on a long fused string so it can be hung down. Each firecracker is rolled up in red papers, as red is auspicious, with gunpowder in its core. Once ignited, the firecracker lets out a loud popping noise and, as they are usually strung together by the hundreds, the firecrackers are known for their deafening explosions that are thought to scare away evil spirits. The burning of firecrackers also signifies a joyful time of year and has become an integral aspect of Chinese New Year celebrations."

How good are you at "Blowing"?

LOL. Now please don't go straying your thoughts! This is just a task for fun. Something for you people to think about. Well, sometimes, things may not look as easy as it is... For those of you who think you "boleh!", then you gotta try this.... All you need is an empty beer bottle (large size) and a beer bottle cap. That's all, so you think you really "boleh"? LOL

Step 1:
Fold the bottle cap into half. This is gonna require a little bit of strength though.

Step 2:
Lay the empty beer bottle horizontally on a flat surface.

Step 3:
Insert the folded bottle cap halfway into the mouth of the beer bottle.

Step 4:
By using your skill of blowing, try blowing the bottle cap into the beer bottle. There shouldn't be any contact with the bottle cap other than your breath.

Step 5:
Try harder! lol!

Christmas Gifts

A Merry Christmas to my fellow readers! Holiday season is here again and yet another year has passed. Coming towards the end of 2009, here I wish all my readers (especially those faithful ones) a merry Christmas and a Happy New 2010, and also THANK YOU for being supportive so far.

X'mas is when all of us will actually buy gifts for our loved ones, exchange gifts and of course, one will be happier to receive gifts! There are some who wish for a certain gift, some gets it, some don't. The question is, how many of you will actually buy yourself a Christmas present? Is it weird to buy yourself a Christmas present? After a year of hard work and money earned, is it ok to treat yourself to something? Something that you had longed for? Something that you had always wanted?

Well, as for me, I haven't really try buying myself a Christmas present before. Maybe I should this year. Maybe I shouldn't. I always treat myself to something, whenever I had extra cash lor, LOL. Come this christmas then I realised I've got no extra cash for myself. LOL. I got some people something though. I got my eyes set on "XXX" for myself too. It's just that it's kinda slightly over my budget. Aaarrrggghhhhh! For those who frequent my page, maybe you'll be able to guess what is "XXX"? "XXX" has hit town already. Ok, I'll leave "XXX" as it is for now, maybe I'll write about it if I do go and crash my wallet for it! I need a new wallet too lor... LOL.

Anyway, I know I haven't been updating my page recently. Just too busy with all that's happening around me lately. Those who sniff around me will know what's happening in denzerogent's right now though. Ok now, got to run again. Just before I go, "Christmas is about giving, gives something to yourself too!" LOL.

Enjoy your holidays!

my Nikon FM2

I've just got back my NIKON FM2. It was sent for a general service recently. I also replaced the rewind lever with a new one. Its been a few years now since I've use this thing. I think its about 7-8 years. Now that the lense had totally gone "out of service", I'll need to get a new one before I could try my hand on this camera again. This is a totally MANUAL camera, I might just get a little rusty now in handling it. Anyway, I'm planning to get a 50mm standard manual focus lense for this baby. The previous lense was a zoom lense though.

Now here's some image to share with you readers.

I might use this camera for a little while. I've not quite made up my mind yet. I might also put this baby up for sale. What do you guys think? Anyone interested? Make me and offer (email me at: denzerogent@gmail.com) and I might consider... lol.

2010 Panasonic Air Conditioners Convention

This was the event that I attended yesterday morning, along with my uncle. It was by invitation only, and of coz, I attended on behalf or rather as one of my uncle's employees, and I do not work for him, lol. Anyway, this convention took place in Sunway Lagoon's Ballroom (1 -3). It was quite a generous event though with breakfast being served as well as lunch and free gifts too. After lunch, there was a lucky draw. Prizes for the lucky draw are quite interesting though, with the grand prize offering 2 units of the new air conditioners, 1st prize will get 1 unit of the new I2 air conditioner and 2nd prize is the P2 air conditioner. Among other prizes include dishwashers and I forgot the rest. lol. Anyway, as usual, I normally got no luck with lucky draws. KNS!

This convention was the launching of Panasonic's latest air conditioner, which can save up to 60% of electricity (Panasonic claims that). This new air conditioner also come with some environmental friendly features.

Here are some photos from that day. Take a look.

During breakfast, some fresh fruits are served too.

This is the entrance to ballroom 3 where they had converted it into a mini showroom to display their products.

This is another side of the showroom.

Some invited customer trying to get to know more about the newly developed air conditioner. Actually, that's my uncle lar.... lol!

Now, that's my uncle again lor.... lol. This time checking out the air purifier.

Inside Ballroom 1, where the convention took place.

This is inside Ballroom 2, during lunch time.

It was a buffet lunch. Grand hor.... like wedding dinner. lol!

This is the door gift. A eco-friendly recyclable bag. Nowadays, it seemed like everyone is giving away this kind of bags.

A close up look at the graphics which are printed on 1 side of the canvas bag.

The other side of the canvas bag.

There are 2 brochures being put inside the bag when I received it. It's actually the catalog / product brochure for their newly launched air conditioners. Both brochures are the same though. I don't know why. Overprint maybe? lol.

This is the final gift which every attendant will receive a piece. It's a sling bag that can be converted into a backpack.

Selangor Turf Club - Race Day

This is how the Selangor Turf Club logo looks like, carrying the Selangor Flag colours.

It was a Saturday outing day. So, we had planned earlier to visit the Selangor Turf Club in Sungai Besi. We, the four of us, which are Skinnyser, Mr. Kitty, CPH a.k.a. Suzuki and me, denzerogent! The day started of with Mr. Kitty being an hour late. KNS! Anyhow, we reach the racecourse somewhere around 1.15pm, just in time before the first race start, which was scheduled at 1.45pm. There were 9 races altogether for Saturday and race no. 6 was the race for the "National Stud Farm" Trophy.

Here's how the racecourse looks like:

This is the place where all the owners of the horses gathered - which is called "Owner's Box".

Before a race starts, we get to see the horses along with their respective riders. All the horses that take part in a race will be paraded in the "Parade Box". Here's some of the images showing before a race:

Why this jock looks so stressed? lol! Sure lose horse! lol!

Here's during a race:

Here's after a race:

The winner of a race will use a different entrance which they called the "Winner's Gate".

Winner of every race will be photographed.

The turf club actually charges a entrance fee of RM6 per person. Once inside, you'll notice that there are many stalls selling drinks, food, tidbits, and turf guides. A turf guide will cost you around RM5 - RM6. We didn't get one though. Everyone inside the turf club will hold on to 1 guide or at least a piece of newspaper. The four of us like pro... no need anything to refer to, super pros! lol! Anyway, feel a bit "pai seh" leh.... so I went scouting for thrown aways. It was after race 6 that I found this Turf Guide being left alone in a corner of the walkway. Picked it up and it become mine! kns lol!

This is how some of the inner pages of the turf guide looks like.

This is the main board right in the middle of the race track showing all the information relevant to each race including payout odds for each horses.

That's denzerogent and skinnyser showing off their winning tickets! Horse No. 11!

That's skinnyser's Race 8 winning ticket! Beginner's luck!

That's the rest of my losing tickets! KNS!

After all, it was worth a trip. A Saturday outing which is quite enjoyable nonetheless, and profitable for some of us too! lol!

AM 95 Neon Pack, Hitting January 2010

For those who had been following this blog, first of all, thanks a lot. As I had earlier wrote about the Nike Air Max 95 Neon Pack that's said to be hitting the stores in 2010 Spring / Summer, well, the news is, it's coming! It will be released in January 2010 as part of the "Spring '10 Air Max Collection".

Earlier it was said that there will be a few other items that comes along with this "Neon Pack", but right now, one sure thing will be the T-shirt. I'm not so sure about the jacket or the crew neck sweater though. As for this release, I'm wondering will it gonna be a Asia Exclusive or it's gonna be released in some other parts of the world. I do hope to find it in Malaysia. There's already some websites offering "pre-order" for this item.

This is how the graphic tee design will looks like.

I'm waiting for it! Good luck to those who are also keeping an eye on this Neon Pack!

Lego Technic 8284 - Tractor

I had completed the Lego Technic 8284. I had decided to go with the tractor instead of the dune buggy. The reason, well, I already had a dune buggy on the shelve. The build-up of the 8284 tractor is much bigger than I had imagined. One of the best function from this set is that it had a manual locking system that control the movement of the rear (red colored) cutting blades. A set of Technic 8287 motorized function can be added to this model too, but I do not have them. Maybe I'll get one when the time comes, XD. Well, as promised, here are the pictures of the built-up 8284 tractor.
